William Robert Caruso
March 9, 1937 - September 9, 2020

William R. Caruso, an Ocala, Florida resident passed away peacefully on the night of September 9th, 2020. He was born March 9th, 1937, in New Haven, CT, and became. longtime resident of Orange, CT. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Dolores Ann Scognamillo and his three children, Richard FJ Caruso (Amy) of Big Lake, MN, Darlene Sparks (Steven) of Dunnellon, FL, and Laura Pierce (David) of Ocala, FL. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Louis Caruso, and sisters Margaret (Peggy) Ruggierio, Violet Civitello, Marie Mason and Gloria Nuzzi all of Connecticut. He is survived by his brothers George Caruso of CT and Joseph (Johnny) Caruso of Florida. Bill had seven grandchildren, Eric C Caruso (Denelle) of Escondido, CA, Richard W Caruso and Stephen J Caruso of Vista, CA, Bradley D Pawlowicz (Staci) of Ocala, FL, David M Pierce (Brittany) of Ocala , Brandon D Pawlowicz (Kara) of Altamonte Spring, and Christopher D Pierce (Alyssa) of Ocala, FL. Bill is also survived by 6 great-children and one on the way.

Bill worked as a certified Machinist in the manufacturing field working his way up to management positions within the manufacturing fields. Later in life Bill and his wife settled in Ocala, Florida. Bill was always active within his community in both Civil and Faith based organizations. Instrumental in fund raising and special projects for many of these organizations. For many years Bill was well known for this hospitality and wonderful cooking. He loved to entertain.

"I am upset that I just found out this past Thursday from my Aunt Loretta, that your Dad has past back in September. I enjoyed his company, along with John at the different gathering\'s held in yours and Dave\'s home. I know he was suffering and fought a good fight! He is now in God\'s Hands and in Haven with his Parents and other Family members. May William R. I. P. Forever!"

"I just found out about your Dad\'s passing Thursday, November 19th 2020 from Aunt Loretta. John and I are so sorry. Your Dad was a special type of Man. John and I enjoyed his and your Mom\'s company each time at your home. My husband John and I met William for the first time back on July 2, 2014 at his daughter, Laura\'s and my cousin Dave\'s home in Ocala, Fl. For the next several Christmas Eves we all gathered at Laura and Dave\'s home to celebrate Christmas! We always had a wonderful time with everyone. May William R. I. P. forever! He is now in God\'s Hands and with his Parents and other Family members!"
