Ron Waterfield, 84, of Paulden, AZ passed away at his home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in the Macedonia Cemetery with Pastor Michael Slininger officiating. Visitation will be held at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson, one hour prior to the graveside, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The cortege will leave at 1:45 p.m. for the cemetery. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson is caring for Ron and his family.

Ronald Robert Waterfield, 84 of Paulden, AZ passed away on September 13, 2020. He was born on June 15, 1936 in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Raymond Waterfield and Ruby (Fox) Waterfield Magel. Ron was raised on a farm near Agency, IA, by Clifford and Ruby Magel. He graduated from Agency High School in Agency, IA and served in the United States Army. He worked as a welder for Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement. Ron was a faithful member of the Bible Baptist Church in Chino Valley, AZ. He was a collector of guns and enjoyed gathering and cleaning shell casings that he found at his local shooting range.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Raymond Waterfield, stepfather Clifford Magel, mother Ruby Magel and great grandson, Hunter Burns. He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Batten and Trudy Hodges, and granddaughters, Brittney (Michael) Burns and Abigail Bruning, all of Carson, IA; and other relatives and friends.
