In loving memory of

Jewel Scott
December 21, 1931 - September 7, 2020

Jewel was born in a cabin in a hollow in the hills of West Virginia. She was one of many children born to Roy and Sara Tomblin. God had His hand of protection over her all her life. Having lost her mother at 13, she spent the next three years, some of the happiest, with her grandmother. She followed her brother to Michigan at 17 and took a job. Life became work and church until her wedding to Billy Gene Scott in 1953. She and Billy had a passion for studying scripture and for the Lord. Shortly after, they headed to seminary in Texas. Their family grew and they settled in Arizona in 1964. At 55, Jewel retired from Motorola after 15 years having never missed a day of work. She was a dedicated and faithful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and her family fiercely.

Tributes

Sheryl Temple wrote on Sep 11, 2020:

"Our mama was the most godly grounded person I will ever know. She loved us unconditionally and prayed unceasingly for each of us. She stayed by my father?s side every day and night through his years of PTSD and struggle with numerous war related health issues till the day he died. She never ever put her self first.. Her passion for her Lord was her first love and then came her family. She raised us to love each other and to never let anything interrupt our family relationships . She was a woman of divine peace and hope. Always looking to the Lord for sustaining her through any trial. The world lost a true and rare ?Jewel? that can never be replaced. With everlasting love, Daughter Sheryl"
