In loving memory of

Bradley Joe Coin
May 23, 1962 - September 9, 2020

Bradley J. Coin, 58, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Friends and family may gather in remembrance to celebrate his life from 4 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. A private funeral service will be held. Cremation will follow the visitation.

It is recommended that you practice social distancing guidelines due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Bradley Joe Coin was born on May 23, 1962 in Milan, Missouri to Wayne Edward and Sharon Joyce (Pierson) Coin. He was a graduate of Danville High School in Danville, Iowa. He married Angela King in 1982 and two children were born to this union, Gabe and Lacey. They later divorced and he married Rhonda Murr in 1998 and they had two children together, Brandon and Derek.

He had first worked at Litton Machinery in Davenport for several years, then J.C. Dubil in Bettendorf, and later B & C Home Improvement in Davenport. For the past 12 years he had owned and operated B & D Pitstop in Maquoketa.

Bradley was a member of many area racing organizations. He was an avid racing and NASCAR fan and as a local track favorite Brad had a great passion for others succeeding. From his addictive personality and sense of humor to setting up others race cars. He truly enjoyed what he was doing. His kids knew what racing was all about growing up and have been a part of the entire racing family. It makes us all stronger to hear about the lives he has touched through such a great sport.

Those left to honor his memory include his children and grandchildren, Gabe Coin of Grand Island, NE, Lacey (Jason) Daedlow of Eldridge, IA, Brandon (Shaye) Coin of Bellevue, IA and Derek (and fiancé Emma) Coin of Bellevue, IA; 5 grandchildren with one on the way, Brecken and Brycen Welsh, Kyleigh and Taylor Coin and Zoey Coin; his mother, Joyce Coin of Milan, MO; and siblings, John (Jen) Coin of Troy, MO, Amy (Mark) Schnecking of Grinnell, IA, and Robin (Kenny) Keller of Canton, MO. He was preceded in death by his father, a nephew Darrin Cale, and a brother-in-law Kevin Makus.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Bradley J. Coin memorial fund has been established.

"Brad and I met through an online dating service. We dated and became great friends. In the last year we didn't talk much , but he has and always will be in my heart. He spoke about his kids and his mother a lot. One of the greatest men I ever had the pleasure of being with. My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with all of you."

"Your Dad could never stop talking about you Brandon. This is all for him he\'d say. I met him on a blind date and from that moment on I cherished his friendship. Whenever I had a car question or needed my oil change he would always come through. I can\'t imagine not seeing that shit grin on his face..\"living the life\" I hope your living by racing every day! Thanks buddy! One of the best!!!! RIP Brad!"

"He and my late companion, who also raced, had lots of laughs when discussing the racing events. Even after my Bill K (Wild Bill) passed (last Feb), Brad would always take time, though it was short since he was kept extremely busy, and work on my truck and wouldn\'t take a cent, not even a hamburger. He gave his all. Hopefully, Bill and Brad will meet in Heaven and \'carry-on\' up there as they did down here. All my Love to his family and close friends. Judy Kennedy "

"Please accept our sympathies on your loss. I\'ve brought parts from and been friends with Brad since about 1986. He used his knowledge to help a lot of people win races on a budget. (We never cheated, just used our \"mechanical abilities\" to win.) Brad helped me build fast race cars for Bruce Current and Mark Kohn to drive, along with my own car and my 2 nephews. Brad was certainly loved by many people and will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Coin Operated. Love from Mr and Mrs Miller (Jeff & Barbie) "
