Dana Jerome Zeller
December 2, 1950 - September 9, 2020

Dana J. Zeller, 69, of Lost Nation, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 9, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lost Nation, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020, from 4 to 7 P.M. at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at the Lost Nation, Iowa Cemetery.

Dana Jerome Zeller was born on December 2, 1950 in Clinton, Iowa, to Darrell Ray and Donna Lee (Leinbaugh) Zeller. He grew up in Wheatland and was a 1969 graduate of Wheatland High School. He married Susan Elaine Schroeder on August 27, 1983 in Lost Nation, Iowa.

Dana had worked at Alcoa Works in Bettendorf for 31 years and had farmed and sold seed corn for many years.

Dana was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lost Nation and was currently serving as a Director and Vice President on the board of the Wheatland Mutual Insurance Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, bowling, boating, and going to listen to the Massey Road Band.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sue Zeller of Lost Nation, IA; children, Stacy (Gary) Current of Monmouth, IA, and Jeremy Zeller of Lost Nation, IA; his mother, Donna Zeller of Tipton, IA; 4 grandchildren, Codey (Jessica) Current, Courtney (Thomas) Allen, Noah Zeller and Brayden Zeller; 2 great-grandchildren, Mayson Zeller and Cora Current; and brothers, Lon Zeller of Wheatland, IA, and Bret Zeller of Wheatland, IA. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Kyle Alden.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Dana J. Zeller memorial fund has been established.
