WILLIAM V. TREGEMBO
September 25, 1933 - September 5, 2020
William Verrant Tregembo, 86, of Skandia, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 5, 2020 at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans.
William was born on September 25, 1933 in Ishpeming, MI to the late William and Elizabeth (Verrant) Tregembo. He was a 1951 graduate of Ishpeming High School.
On February 15, 1954 he married the former Donna M. McMaster in Albuquerque, NM.
William served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was also a lifelong Marquette County resident. He worked at Cliff Dow Chemical Company for a short period of time and then for Michigan Bell/AT&T for over 30 years, retiring as a switchman.
William was a member of the West Branch Sportsmen's Club and Skandia Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, spending time at camp and most of all family time and family barbeques.
William is survived by his children, Valerie (Oliver) Valima of Gwinn, Dan (Brenda) Tregembo of Gwinn and David (Patty) Tregembo of Skandia; grandchildren, William (Lori) Valima, Charles (Stacy) Tregembo, Daniel (Sarah) Tregembo and Hollie (Chad) Collar; ten great-grandchildren, Josephine, Sophia, Elijah, Ezra, Noah, Logan, Alexis, Addisyn, Porter and Nora; and a sister, Marilyn Hoffman of Negaunee. Besides his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, on March 10, 2015.
Per William's request, private family services will be held.
William's family is especially grateful to all of the staff at D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans who cared for him. A special thank you to Jim, Kate, Lisa and Theresa with whom he had a special bond. Their care and kindness was above and beyond.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans Activity Fund, 425 Fisher St., Marquette, MI 49855.
