March 4, 1952 - September 1, 2020

Harry "Dirty Harry" Michaelsen, 68, of Pacific Junction, IA passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Martin Chapel Cemetery north of Pacific Junction. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Harry and his family.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.

Harry Junior Michaelsen son of Harry and Dorothy Majerus Michaelsen was born on March 4, 1952 in Iowa City, IA. He grew up in the Walnut, IA area.
Harry married Lola Janssen on March 17, 1973 at Pacific Junction, IA. The couple was blessed with two sons, Jody and Adam.
Harry was an avid fisherman, and really loved to catch catfish. He enjoyed hunting, looking for mushrooms in the timber, boating with friends and family. He was even known to have a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. He loved to play jokes and had an ornery side to him.
Harry worked at Griffin Pipe in Council Bluffs as a forklift operator for over 35 years.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eldon Michaelsen; and sisters, Dorothy Jacobsen and Ruth Williams.
Harry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lola Michaelsen of Pacific Junction; sons, Jody Michaelsen and his wife Malissa of Red Oak and Adam Michaelsen of Pacific Junction; 10 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; other relatives and a host of many friends.
