Jim Fox, age 74 of Washington, passed away May 4, 2015 at 12:50 pm at Emerald Place, Washington, IN. He was born November 19, 1940 in Washington to Kathleen (Williams) and Stailey Fox. He was a 1958 Washington Catholic graduate. Jim was a US Air Force Veteran and retired from Daviess Martin REMC. He belonged to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Washington American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and playing rum at the K of C. He is survived by his wife, Melba (Petty) who he married July 13, 1963, sons; Mike (Janice) Fox of Washington, Jeff (Jeanne) Fox of Washington, grandchildren; Bryce Fox, Claire Fox, Josh Hudson, Adam Hudson, Adair (Steve) Hedrick, and Garrett Fox, four great-grandchildren; Kolten Hedrick, Brant Hedrick, Kittery Hudson, and Callaway Hudson. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Lents. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery with full military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 pm at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Helping Hands Hospice, P.O. Box 760, Washington, IN 47501 or to the charity of your choice.
