William E. Drake age 59 of Washington passed away on Saturday at 2:46 PM at Daviess Community Hospital. He was born on August 8,1946 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to William K. Drake and Betty (Carter) Drake. He was a 1964 graduate of Loogootee High School where he was a member of the basketball team. He was a member of Washington Elks Club and Washington Masonic Lodge. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting and was an avid basketball fan. He was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen (Sturgis) Drake whom he married on May 16, 1977, one daughter; Jennifer Rose Drake of Washington, Two sons; William Robert Woolard of Ohio and David Vincent Drake of Washington, two granddaughters; Yasmin Searl of Washington and Daisy Drake of Washington, and one sister; Carla Lynn Abel of Colorado He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Morgan, his father, William K. Drake and two brothers; Kenneth Drake and Fredrick Drake. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor Louis Showers officiating.
