Vernon C. Wickman
March 26, 1913 - November 26, 2006

Vernon C. Wickman age 93 of Washington passed away at 6:33 AM Sunday at his residence. He was born in Hamburg ,Germany to the late Heinrich and Auguste Wickman. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He retired in 1976 from McCord Corporation after thirty years of service. He is survived by his wife Clare (Hopkins) Wickman whom he married on March 6, 1943; five sons Charles Wickman of Washington, Edward Wickman of Evansville, Dennis Wickman of Jasper, Michael Wickman of St. Louis, Missouri, Mark Wickman of Loogootee; three daughters, Margaret Allison of Washington, Lucille McCracken of Evansville, and Carol Grise of Columbus, Indiana; twenty Grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Hans Wickman and Guenther Wickman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Washington. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery Barr Township with military graveside rites by Washington American Legion and VFW Visitaion will be on Tuesday from 12:30 PM till 1:30 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary.
