Paul L. Stone
July 12, 1923 - March 29, 2011

Paul L. Stone, age 87, of Washington, passed away at 3:30 AM on Tuesday at his residence. He was born on July 12, 1923 in Lexington, Kentucky to Thomas Jefferson and Rilla (Osman) Stone. He was a World War II Army Veteran. and was a member of the Southwind Wesleyan Church. He was retired from Rogers Group as a foreman. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Underwood of Shoals and Linda Kluemper of Washington State; three sons, Bob Stone, Charles Stone and Rick Stone all of Washington; one sister, Ruth Sturgeon of Washington; one brother, Joe Stone of Florida; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. His wife, Mildred (Patterson) Stone, whom he married January 4, 1947, is deceased. Three sisters, Viola Callaway, Elsie Barbie, and Esther Stone, and two brothers, Thomas Stone and Daniel Stone are also deceased. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday at Southwind Wesleyan Church with Rev. Phil Kessen. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary and on Friday from 9 AM till the hour of services at Southwind Wesleyan Church.
