Martin 'Leroy' Granger Sr. age 71 of Wheatland passed away on Saturday at 10:50 PM at his residence. He was born on October 22, 1935 in Daviess County to the late Nathaniel and Frances (Bledsoe) Granger. He had attended Wheatland Schools and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wheatland were he served as an usher. Leroy had worked at McCord's for over 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Ernestine K. (Ash) Granger; two daughters and sons in-law, Lisa A. and George Robertson of Alexandria, Va. and Charlotte and Luis Prado of Springfield, Va.; one son, Martin 'Leroy' Granger Jr. of Evansville; six grandchildren; one great grand daughter; one brother, Steve Granger of Washington; and two sisters, Josephine Hardiman of Vincennes and Norma Rankin of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Hugh Granger. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Wheatland with Pastor Robert F. Granger officiating. Burial will be in Hawkins Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the Ed Lee Mortuary in Washington and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM till the hour of services at the First Baptist Church of Wheatland.
