"Many years ago I graduated high school and left for the Marines. I basically never looked back to Washington. Yesterday was one of those few reflective times and the news I found was very sad. Jennifer and I had a quiet friendship, most probably did not know we were friends throughout high school, never more, just good friends. I am so sorry for the loss I can only imagine her family must feel. I lost someone last year and it has yet to ease, my thoughts are with the Lawson's and Jennifer's son."

Brian Montgomery wrote on Jan 5, 2011:

"Dear Kitty...I'm so sorry about this. I dated Jennifer before I joined the Air Force and she sent me lots of cards and letters when I was in England..that was 1989. I remember meeting you and Jim at your house and how comfortable everything was. I think about Jennifer a lot and I just happened to stumble across this obituary...needless-to-say, I'm shocked. She was a beautiful, fun, friendly person. I miss her! Also, once, she had a pizza delivered to your home when I was there and she had ILLINOIS spelled out in peperoni....it was so sweet. I'm sorry for your loss...she was a great gal. Brian Montgomery (originally Lawrenceville, IL)"
