William Herbert Beckett

William Herbert "Herbie" Beckett age 57 of Washington passed away at 2:40 PM Friday at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis. Born June 18, 1950 in Washington, he was the son of Herbert and Pearl (Carrico) Beckett. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving is his wife, Amy (Mundy) Beckett whom he married August 30, 1986; three son, Richard Beckett of Bethlehem, PA, Justin Graves of Washington, and Jarrod Graves of Woodlawn, Tennessee; two daughters, Caren Sue Hulsey of Washington and Nicole Elliott of Allentown, PA; his mother and step-father, Pearl and Ted Bridgewater of Loogootee; two sisters, Kim Beckett of Loogootee and Cathy Harris of Boonville; and fourteen grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father; one son, Michael James Beckett; and one brother, Alan Beckett. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Montgomery. Full military rites will be conducted by the Washington American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
