Steven Dale Sweet
August 5, 1964 - November 1, 2018

Steven Dale Sweet, age 54, of Washington, passed away at 12:54 PM on Friday November 2, 2018, at St Vincent Medical Center in Evansville.


He was born on August 5, 1964 in Washington to George Dale and Sharon (Lucas) Sweet. He served in the US Army with 101st Airborne from 1984 to 1994 during that time he served a tour of duty in Desert Storm as well as being stationed in Germany, Korea, and Fort Campbell Kentucky.  


From 1994 till 2014 he worked and lived in Tacoma, Washington be for moving back to Washington, Indiana where he went to work for Mac Allister Machinery till 2017 when he retired due to his health.


He is survived by his wife, Lia Sweet; two daughters, Lilly Ann Sweet and Marissa Stearns both of Washington; his parents, George Dale and Sharon Sweet of Washington; one sister, Amy (Tim) Auberry of Washington; two brothers, Mark (Patti) Sweet of Collierville, TN and Bill Sweet of Vincennes.; and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel 620 East Viola Avenue with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery with Military Graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel.


Memorial Donations may be given the Wounded Warriors 4899 Belfort Rd. Suite 300 Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
