William A. "Bill" Fisher, age 76, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Prairie Village Nursing & Rehabilitation in Washington. He was born on October 3, 1940 in Vincennes to Virgil A. and Virginia (Fox) Fisher. He attended Vincennes Community Schools. He retired from Glendale Boat Rental where he owned and operated the business. He was a member of the American Legion Men''s Auxiliary. He loved fishing and playing cards. He is survived by two sons, Arnie (Lourdes) Fisher of Sierra Vista, Arizona and Andy Fisher of Sierra Vista, Arizona; stepsons, Dennis Elmore of Texas and Shannon (Denise) Rodgers of Washington; stepdaughter, Earlene Hedrick of Washington; seven grandchildren, Josh (Jennifer) Gregory of Syracuse, Utah, Alyson (Emanuel) Stoll of Elnora, Audrey Rodgers of Washington, Heath Hedrick of Washington, Katie Hedrick of Washington, Victoria (Jarel) Campbell of Charlotte, North Carolina, Benjamin (Tracy) Fisher of Sierra Vista, Arizona; four great grandchildren, William Gregory, William Campbell, Makayla Fisher and Ben Fisher; sister, Hazel Bilskie of Vincennes and his buddy, Jerry Johnson He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline (Gray) Fisher on October 3, 2013, whom he married April 7, 1979, his parents, Virgil A. Fisher and Virginia (Fox) Ash, stepfather, Oral "Ernie" Ash and sister, Ida Mae Wheatley. There will be no services. "My sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Fisher. I gave him physical therapy 3 years ago and enjoyed getting to know he and his wife. I stopped to visit with him after the passing of his wife. He was swinging in the back yard. May he rest in peace. Cindy Clements"
