Richard L. Cummings, Jr., 32, Washington, passed away Tuesday at his residence. He was born March 19, 1974 in Vincennes to Richard L. and Brenda (Hamilton) Cummings, Sr. He was a 1993 Washington High School and a 1997 ITT Tech of Evansville graduate. He worked for Harner Trucking. Surviving is his wife, Cassandra K. (Killion) Cummings, Washington, whom he married February 13, 1996; two sons, Devon Cummings of Washington and Andrew Cox of Washington; a daughter, Jasmine Yoder of Loogootee; his mother, Brenda Bright of Seguin, Texas; his father and step-mother, Richard and Beverly Cummings of Vincennes; three sisters, Kathryn (Cummings) Sutton of Evansville, Brittney Cummings of Vincennes, and Ashley Cummings of Bicknell; a step-son, Caleb Aldrich of Washington; maternal grandmother, Esther Hamilton of Vincennes, and paternal grandmother, Betty Lou Cummings of Vincennes. Preceding him in death are maternal grandfather, Dick Hamilton, Sr., and paternal grandfather, Chester O. Cummings. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pete Aldrich officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary.
