Barbara Rose (Alberti) Hart, aged 86, died peacefully on March 2, 2015 at her home in Cannelburg, IN, after a brief struggle with illness. Barbara was born on October 19, 1928 in Washington, IN. She was the oldest child of Carl Philip Alberti and Irma Ceceila Wuertz. Fondly known as Bobbi to her dad, who worked for the B&O Railways, she would often take the train to visit her relatives. She attended St Simon's Catholic Grade school, and graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1946. She attended Marion College in Indianapolis before returning to Washington, to take a job at US Rubber (Uniroyal) working as a secretary. She met the love of her life, John Patrick Hart and married on November 28th, 1953. They had seven children, John Patrick Hart Jr (Debbie), Janice (Dennis) Hensley, Betty Hart, Gary (Pam) Hart, Carolyn (Joe) Craney, Laura (Greg) Symanski, Mary Lynn (Tony) Walker, She had several beloved grandchildren, Alisa Sargeant, Anthony Hart, Jessica Martin, Justin Vaughn, Zachary Hart, Cameron and Conner Craney, Alex, Jordan and John Symanksi, Mallory, Hayden, and Jack Walker, Chad and John Stone and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Hudson, James, Ella, Ava, and Maya. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, John P. Hart, grandson, Bill Hensley and an infant brother Philip. She is survived by her children and two sisters, Norma VanLue, and Phyllis Norris both of Washington IN. She was a member of All Saints Church in Cannelburg, and an active member in the Altar Society. She was a kind and gentle soul, who always put her family first. She was a devoted wife and mother, an avid card player, shopper and a great cook. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers during this last year, Bev Wagler, Jennifer Graber, Martha Knepp and Angie Shake. A mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, March 5th at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg, Indiana. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 4th, from 4 - 8 pm at All Saints Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red Door of Martin County, 500 N.
