Ruth C. Auberry, age 90, of Washington, passed away at 6:12 PM on Sunday at her home. She was born on June 18, 1924 in Washington to Joseph and Maryme (Norris) Harter. She was a 1943 graduate of Washington Catholic High School, and was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, and Order of St. Francis. She is survived by two daughters, Mary A. Blubaum of Washington and Sharon (Terry) Gladish of Petersburg; seven sons, Dan Auberry of Washington, Joe (Toni) Auberry of Lafayette, Richard (Cheryl) Auberry of North Carolina, Tim (Amy) Auberry of Washington, Kenny and Pam Auberry of Bicknell, John (Sherry) Auberry and Tony Auberry of Washington; one brother, Paul (Betty) Harter of Jasper; eighteen grandchildren; twenty- six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Auberry on one grandson; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Caroline Harter, Agnes Mulen, and Mary Catherine; two brothers, Bill Harter and Jonny Harter; two half -brother; one half-sister; three step brothers; and two step sisters. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday with a wake service at 3:30 PM and a D of I rosary 6 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary. Condolences may be sent online
