Ray Williams
July 1, 1948 - January 26, 2015

Ray Williams, age 66, of Washington passed away today at 5:30 a.m. at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. Ray was born July 1, 1948 in Washington to Mary Laverne (Mattingly) and Vincent O. Williams. He was retired from the City of Washington Street Department. He loved camping, fishing, and IU basketball. He is survived by son; Chris (Amia) Williams of Washington, brothers; Donnie (Lorrie) Williams, Bobby (Kim) Williams both of Washington, sisters; Nancy (Don) Cannon and JoAnn Clark both of Washington, two grandsons; Jayden and Trey Williams of Washington. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Judy (Rayman) on March 9, 2009, and one brother Thomas Williams. Funeral services will be held at Ed Lee Mortuary on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Yvonne Evans officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family c/o Ed Lee Mortuary, 101 N. Meridian Street, Washington, IN 47501

"Dear Williams Family: I am so sorry to have read of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:4. These verses give us a reason for hope as they tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my wish that these thoughts will comfort your family also."
