Artie Lewis, age 78, of Washington, passed away at 10:30 PM on Sunday at Eastgate Manor Nursing Home.
Artie was born on October 15, 1940 in Washington to Robert and Mary Ellen (Pride) Lewis. He graduated in 1958 from Washington High School and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Washington American Legion. His passions were riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, being a musician, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Brewer) Lewis whom he married March 30, 1968; two daughters, Michelle Farmer of Deland, Florida and Lisa (Lelan) Walton of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one son Mike (Tina) Lewis of Knoxville, Tennessee; two sisters, Marinne Bass of Tucson, Arizona, and Sharie Lewis; five grandchildren, Jesse Walton, Ashley Smith, Crystal Zenolin, Justin Lewis, and Jakob Lewis; and seven great grandchildren.
Artie was preceded in death by his Parents and two brothers, Jimmy Lewis, and Bobby Lewis.
Funeral services will at 2:30 PM on Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel 620 East Viola Avenue in Washington with Brother Brad Rainey officiating. Burial will be in Aikman Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:30 PM till the hour of services on Saturday at the mortuary.
