Charlotte M. Meade

Charlotte M. Meade age 79 of Washington passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at her residence.


 


Charlotte was born September 21, 1940 in Washington to James C. and Huldah F. (Nichter) Butcher. She graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1958. In 2000 she retired from Daviess County Health Department. Charlotte was a member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church and their choir. Charlotte enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul for many years. She loved to quilt and she sang at numerous funerals.


 


She is survived by her husband Gary Meade who she married January 21, 1976; daughter Gaye (Wagner) (Jeffrey) Norris of Washington; two sons Tim (Kim) Wagner of Washington and Jeffrey (Tara) Wagner of Evansville; brother Robert (Sylvia) Butcher of Wadesville; seven grandchildren Angela Burkhart, Amy Burkhart, Timothy Wagner, Alexandria Wagner, Daniel Wagner, Chloe Wagner and David Wagner and one great-grandchild Kristelynn Miley.


 


She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Laura Ann Wagner; sister Marilyn Cox and granddaughter Hope Ann Wagner.


 


Funeral services will be Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel with a showing from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the same day. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
