William E. Baker,
December 3, 1931 - November 9, 2006

William E. Baker Sr. age 74 of Bicknell formerly of Washington passed away on Thursday morning at his residence. He was born on December 3-1931 in Wheatland to the late Rose Ann (Alvey) and James Winfield Baker. He married Nellie L Dinkens on November 25-1954 and she preceded him in death on January 24-2003. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church, Washington American Legion, Washington VFW and the French Club of Bicknell. Surviving are two daughters and son in-law, Shirley Stedman of Florida , and Pamela A.and Kenneth E. Auberry of Bicknell; three sons and daughters in-law, William E. Jr. and Janet Baker of Washington, James Richard and Jacqueline Baker of Washington, Patrick J. and Krista K. Baker of Washington; eleven grandchildren Richard Auberry of Florida, Michele Richerson of Florida, Brian Baker of Washington, Jessica Kent of Bicknell, Erica Telligman of Freelandville, Rachelle Aline Breitwieser of Washington, James Richard Baker Jr. of Washington, Brent Donald Baker of Washington, Bryiana Rena Baker of Washington, Patrick J. Baker Jr. of Washington, and Rachael Auberry of Florida; 8 great grandchildren; and two sisters Connie Borden of Florida and Shirley Lance of Alabama. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by one brother, James Baker and one sister Eleanor Fulk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fathers Gordon Mann and Lowell Will as con-celebrants. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery with Military graveside rites by Washington American Legion and VFW.visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary with a wake service at 4 pm.
