Lulu Bell Sullivan

Lulu Bell Sullivan, age 79, of Washington passed away at 3:12 a.m. Sunday at Daviess Community Hospital. Born November 22, 1931 in Montgomery, she was the daughter of Mell and Josie (Allison) Billings. She was a 1950 graduate of Montgomery High School and a member of Bethany Christian Church. She attended Washington First Christian Church. She was a homemaker and loved baking pies and cooking. Surviving is her husband, Doyle Sullivan, whom she married December 4, 1953; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie (Gene) Baker of Alfordsville, Pam (John) Mangin, and Brenda (Alan) Colvin all of Washington; a brother, David Billings of Upton, Calif; two sisters, Hazel Wood of New Albany, and Emma Lynch of Louisville, Ky; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Jenny Burress; seven brothers, Raymond, Jesse, Merle, Howard, Noble, Robert, and Morton Billings; and a sister, Mary Alexander. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 pm. Tuesday at the mortuary.
