Cordia Catherine Miller Arthur, age 91, of Washington, joined the house of the Lord at 1:45 AM on Sunday from Hillside Manor, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 1, 1919 in Washington to Charles and Nelly (Summit) Miller. She attended Washington Schools and had retired as a clerk from the City of Washington. She had been a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, Eagles Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and American Legion. She enjoyed playing cards and square dancing. She is remembered by daughter Mona J. Small, Washington; son Dean Arthur, Greenwood; one sister in-law, Norma Wetzel of Colorado; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephew. She joins in death her loving husband Clyde (Peanut) Arthur who she married Feb.23,1935.Also preceding her in death are her parents,5 brothers,3 sisters, a son Eddie(Punk) Arthur, and great grandchildren, Keith and Hiedie Speakman Funeral Services will be at 10a.m.Wednesday at Ed .Lee's Mortuary, with Bro. Mark Elliot and Mrs. Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation is from 4p.m. to 8p.m. on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
