Wilma R. Kilps
December 15, 1924 - April 29, 2008

Wilma R. Kilps age 83 of Washington passed away at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday at Daviess Community Hospital. Born December 15, 1924 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Roy M. and Edith (Ellis) Lynch. She was a 1942 graduate of Washington High School and attended Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. She was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church and Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She had worked at Reliance and U. S. Rubber from 1944 to 1950. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph M. Kilps, whom she married on July 15, 1945; two daughters and sons in-law, Jo Ann and Terry Blake of Carmel and Janet and Mike Chestnut of Washington; two sons and daughters in-law, James and Vicki Kilps of Liberty Township, Ohio, and Jerry and Renee Kilps of Hamilton, Ohio; one brother Melvin Keith Lynch of Washington; 13 Grandchildren, Nick Blake and wife Katie, Chris Blake, Amanda Blake, Kyle May, Kaycie May, Kory May, Thomas Kilps Tyler Kilps, Luke Kilps, Hannah Kilps, Noah Kilps, Bethany Chestnut, and Taylore Chestnut; and two great-granddaughters, McKenna Blake and Bailey Kay. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ellis Lynch; and three sisters, Doris Allen, Dorothy Masten, and Rosemary McPherson. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Simon Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with a wake service at 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Washington Catholic Education Endowment at P.O.
