Elizabeth “Betty” M. Williams, 68, of Washington, passed away September 14, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
She was born in Washington, Indiana on September 27, 1949, to Adolph and Ruth Agnes (Mattingly) Horsting.
Betty had graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1969 and was retired from Kimball International. She had many hobbies which included camping, fishing, cooking and sewing. She enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and spending time with her cat.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Michael “Bo” Williams and Dustin Lee Williams, both of Washington; daughter, Stacey Marie (Joshua) Montgomery of Washington; three brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Horsting of Shoals, Walter (Mae) Horsting of Loogootee and Frank (Teresa) Horsting of Washington; two sisters, Joyce (Mark) Ashcraft of Vincennes and Patty (Jerry) Melvin of Washington; six grandchildren, Robert Michael “Dean” Williams, Ethan Williams, Avery Williams, Logan Allen, Haley Allen and Keeton Williams; special friend, Ray Golden of Washington and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Adolph Horsting; mother, Ruth Agnes Mandabach; stepfather, Clerance Mandabach; husband, Michael Dean Williams, whom she married, March 31, 1972; two brothers, Jerry Horsting and Donald Horsting; sister, Rita Martin.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19th at 1:30 p.m. at Ed Lee North Chapel, 620 East Viola Ave, Washington, IN 47501. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Ed Lee North Chapel, 620 East Viola Ave, Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
