Mary Rita Toy, age 80, of Montgomery passed away at 7:30 AM on Tuesday at her residence. She was born on October 3, 1930 in Washington to Edgar L. and Genevieve M. (Arvin) Fegan. She was a 1948 graduate of Washington CatholicHigh School. She was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church, St Ann Alter Society, and K of C Ladies Auxiliary. She married John J. Toy on August 17, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2008. She is survived by daughters and sons in-law, Christine and Bill Seal, and Margaret 'Peg' and Bill Petty all of Montgomery, and Catherine Schroeder of Washington; sons and daughters in-law, John E. and Janet Toy of Jasper, Dennis P. and Julie of Montgomery, Stephen G. Toy of Vincennes, Joseph P. and Stephanie Toy of Jasper, and Mark R. and Beth Toy of Montgomery; thirteen grandchildren, Renee (Petty) Cox, Melissa (Schroeder) Dragoo, Amanda Toy, Rhonda (Petty) Canada, Patrick Toy, Laura (Schroeder) Armes, Sarah Toy-Ding, Robin (Petty) Spinks, T.J. Schroeder, Valerie (Schroeder) Clarke, Ross Petty, Kathryn Toy, and John Jeremiah Toy; five step grandchildren, Melessa Wilson, Sgt. Lucas Brackney, Sarah Brackney, Brandy Cook, and Tracy Cook; and twenty great grandchildren. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with a parish rosary at 3 pm.
