Edward Ray Yeager
February 15, 1935 - October 27, 2010

Edward Ray Yeager, age 75, of Washington passed away at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at his residence. Born February 15, 1935 in Washington he was the son of Joseph Ray and Imo Grace (Roberson) Yeager. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended Vincennes University and Indiana College of Mortuary Science. He worked as a funeral director until 1978 when he opened Yeager Hardware which later evolved into Yeager Antique Restoration from which he retired in 2001. He was a member of the K of C and F.O.P. He was a "Railroad Buff" and enjoyed woodworking but most of all he enjoyed his granddaughters. He is survived by his wife, Marcia (Edwards) Yeager, whom he married December 9, 1961; two sons, Edward L. Yeager of Bloomfield and Joseph R. Yeager of Georgetown, Ky; two granddaughters, Hannah Jane and Avery Grace Yeager. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Ann Yeager. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with military graveside rotes by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 pm on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
