Marjorie "Kay Raymann" Kocher, age 75, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 6:05 p.m. at Washington Nursing Center. Kay was born April 15, 1939 in Washington, IN to Ernest and Earldean (Wilson) Smith. She received her GED and Cosmetology License, most recently managed Sally''s Beauty Supply. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Kay was the receipient of the Kenneth Talley Residence Council Award and the Valentine Queen at Washington Nursing Center. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, bingo and playing cards. Surviving are her children and their spouses; Kim Raymann (Van) Meeks, Oaktown, IN, Terri Raymann (Mark) Hahn, Charlotte, NC, Cheryl Raymann (Dave) Smith, Washington, IN, David (Linda) Raymann, Garden City, SC and Carl (Renee) Kocher, Point Comfort, TX; grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Cody (Meaghan) Meeks, Kasie Raymann, Kali Edwards, Alan Smith, Luke Meeks, Bryce Edwards, Jasmyne Smith, Jason Steffy, Shawnee Steffy, Cody Steffy, Patrick Hahn, Grayson Hahn, Cole Woods, and Lisa Demorest; great-grandchildren, Reid Meeks, Jason Meeks, Parker Meeks, Gavin Meeks, Javen Crews, Carter Steffy, Emmy Steffy, and Aiden Steffy. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Larry Raymann, who died on December 23, 1965; grandson, Roy Dillon Meeks; brothers, John Patrick Smith, Mike Smith, and Terry Smith. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John''s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Wake Service at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Washington Nursing Center (Activities Fund), 603 E. National Hwy, Washington, IN 474501 and Catholic Community of Washington, 315 NE 3rd Street, Washington, IN 47501.
