Phyllis A. Waltz age 83, of Washington, passed way on Monday at 9:20 PM at her residence. She was born on October 24, 1925 in Washington to Earl and Trois (Gordon) Wingfield. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved spending time in her garden. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Paul Waltz whom she married on September 14, 1943; Four sons and daughters in-law, Max and Paulette Waltz of Walton, Indiana, Chris Waltz of Jasper, David and Teri Waltz of Petersburg, and Kevin and Susan Waltz of Terre Haute; one daughter and son in-law, Linda and Charlie Morris II of Nashville, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, Charlie Morris III of San Antonio, Texas, William Morris II of Olympia, Washington, Shannon Terrell of Middletown, Indiana, Craig Waltz of Charlestown, Ashley Taulman of McCordsville, Eric Waltz of Jasper, Hilary Waltz of Jasper, David Waltz Jr. of Corydon, Dustin Jenkins of Petersburg, Dexter Waltz of Petersburg, Hope Waltz of Petersburg, Shelby Waltz of Petersburg, and Addie Waltz of Terre Haute; four great grandchildren; and one brother ans sister in-law, Tom and Sue Wingfield of Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, and eleven brother and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary with a Wake service at 4 PM. Memorial Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. "Linda, I was sad to hear about your mother. Words can never really help but they let you know that those who care about you are thinking about you and your family. I sure miss the old days when we picked strawberries at your farm. I think I ate more than I crated. I really tried to get to the funeral home to see you again but it wasn't to be I guess.
