Lois Mae Belcher age 78 of Washington passed away at 11:03 PM on Friday at her daughters residence. She was born on February 24, 1932 in Washington to Elmer and Laura Mae (Veale) Emmons. She was a member of Washington First Church of God and had retired from Perdue. She was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School. She is survived by two daughters and sons in-law, Charlotte and Dan Fox of Joelton, Tennessee and Anita Louise and Rick Martindale of Washington; three sons and daughters in-law, Kenneth Eugene and Pam Belcher of Evansville, Michael Don and Shawna Belcher of Otwell and Brian Todd Belcher of Washington; five sisters, Virginia Ruth Wilson and Laura Josephine 'Jo' Watson both of Washington, Elsie Marie Austin of Florida, Mary Edith Fuller of Toledo, Ohio, and Marjorie Fields of Decatur, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Belcher on February 18, 2009, whom she had married on March 24, 1951; five brothers; William Clifton Emmons, Clarence Eugene Emmons, Carl Emmons, Ronald Lee Emmons, and Larry Dean Emmons; and two sisters, Ruby Geneva Matteson, and Naomi Faye Hooten. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor William Pentecost officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.edleemortuary.com.

"I am so sorry to hear of Lois passing. She was a lovely lady who I loved to visit and talk with when she was a Southview. Don also always smiled, quite gentle soul. I wish I was able to attent visiting, but learn too late of it. For the family , I'm very sorry for you lost of your Mother. She will be missed, as been for a long while by me. Gentle hugs.
