Tributes

"Hi Becky, Barbara, Brent and families, Sorry to hear about your mom. My Christmas card came back this year with the message that you mom had passed away, so I got online and read the lovely tribute to her. I will always remember her fondly, and every May 18th I think of her, as her birthday and Olive's were the same. All those wonderful summers of visiting Grandad and Olive were made even more special by your family. Mark and I would look forward to seeing you all every year. Your mom always made us feel at home and was so entertaining! And, she took such good care of Grandad during his last days. I am sure she will be missed by many. Hope you all are doing well. My family lives in the DC area (VA), and I have two wonderful kids, Heather/17 and Clarke/14. Mark lives in KS and has three kids, Lorraine/25-married, William/23-married, and Mary/21-college. My mom is in a nursing home in KS, near Mark, who practices medicine there. My dad passed away in 1993. Life moves way too fast. We are mired in college applications these days and trying to survive the economic craziness. Living in this area has been exciting this past year with the elections, etc. Well, take care, and again, I will miss communicating with your mom. We always traded holiday cards, and I missed hers this year. Sincerely, Linda DeRoo Hildreth and Family"
