Billy A. Shideler
December 4, 1929 - December 16, 2009

Billy Andrew Shideler, age 80 of Washington, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Daviess Community Hospital. Born December 4, 1929 in Lafayette, he was the son of Cary and Amy (Fisher) Shideler. He was a U. S. Marine Veteran of WWII and a retired machinist from TRW. Surviving is his wife, Stella J. (Webster) Shideler, whom he married April 6, 1957; three sons, Michael Allen Shideler of Lafayette, Francis Andrew Shideler of Vincennes, and Billy Joe Shideler of Washington; a daughter, Alice Fay Junod of Vincennes; a brother, Albert Shideler of Florida; four sisters, Mary Butler and Ruth Cox both of Lafayette, Phyllis Thomas of West Lafayette, and Barbara Corona of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Frankie Arnold Shideler; a brother, Frank Monroe Shideler; and four sisters, Alice Summers, Frances Leach, Mert Austin, and Amy Dice. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Visitation will be 12 noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. "We deeply are saddened by the passing Uncle Frank, even tho we were far apart and did not get to see each other much we have been told so many stories by my dad about him we feel we new him well. he is in heven with Al , my father , and probably having a great time reminising of old times together. we will not be able to be there as health reasons prevent me from traveling right now but you all have our Love , sincerly Tom @ Sheri Shideler"
