Donald Odie Miller
June 7, 1943 - December 31, 2017

Donald Odie ‘Don’ Miller, age 74, of Cannelburg, went home to be with the Lord at 10:50AM on Sunday December 31, 2017.


He was born in Martin County on June 7, 1943 to Odie and Clysta May (Stanley) Miller. He attended Alfordsville High School and retired from K and K industries. To most of his friends and family he was known as Mr. Fixit. Being Mr. Fixit he had a great passion for tractors working   on his own or other family and friends tractors, and just going to tractor shows. Being a great lover of the outdoors, he loved  hunting, fishing, camping, and just spending time with family and friends around a good campfire laugh and telling stores. He was a member of Maranatha Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Loogootee were he enjoyed going to Bible study. He was a strong man in his faith in Jesus Christ.


He is survived by his wife, Margaret E.  (O’Brien) Miller whom he married on October  3, 1962; two daughters, Shelly R. (Kenny) Humbert and Cherish O. Miller (Robert E. Gibson) of Washington; one son Donald Richard Miller ( Patty Johnson) of French Lick; ten grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his Parents; two sisters, Virginia Hovis and Vera Carrico; and one brother Glenn Miller.


Funeral services will be 11:30 AM on Thursday at the Maranatha Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Loogootee with Pastor Duane Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 till 11:30 on Thursday at the Church.


Memorial donations may be given to the Tabernacle Assembly of God Church 18880 US 231 North Loogootee, Indiana 47553

"Margaret, Shellie, Don and Cherish Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We never want to say goodbye to a love one but even more we never want them in pain. Knowing they are going home to a better place and joining other family can give us peace of mind.. I will al ways remember meeting Don and all his stories he told. I still have a knife he gave me ( sister Buck ). Don was well loved and taken care of here on earth by your close knit family. Be at Peace you were there for him.
