Thomas Mackey

Thomas Andrew Mackey, age 78, of Sharonville, Ohio, passed away at 6:45 p.m. at Sterling House Retirement Center in Springdale, Ohio. He was born September 16, 1932 in Washington to James S. and Helen Elizabeth (Gootee) Mackey. He was a graduate of Washington Catholic High School. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Greg Uhler of Fairfield, Ohio; four sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard and Kimberly Mackey of Georgetown, Indiana, Robert Mackey of Winter Park, Florida, John and Debbie Mackey and William Mackey all of Sharonville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Christopher Mackey of Lebanan, Ohio, Bethany Mackey of Sharonville, Ohio, Carmen Mackey and Lynn Mackey both of Georgetown, Indiana, and Andrew Uhler and Julia Uhler of Fairfield, Ohio; and one sister Rita Hauger of Chicago. His wife, Josephine Ann (Mehling) Mackey, whom he married October 9, 1954, passed away July 25, 1973. A brother, John Mackey and one step brother, William Francis Drury are also deceased. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Jim Koressel. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
