Donald D. Miller age 80 of Washington passed away on Friday at 6:22 PM at Daviess Community Hospital. He was born on June 13, 1927 in Washington to Austin and Bessie Miller. He was a US Army Veteran and US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He had retired from Bryant Chevrolet as a mechanic. He was certified in heating and air conditioning, had a certificate for television and electronic repair, and a certificate in drafting. He is survived by his wife, Rita (Drodge) Miller whom he married on April 4th 1953; one daughter and son in-law, Susan and Arthur Wininger of Martinsville; three sons and daughters in-law, Michael Miller of Washington, David and Cathy Miller of Washington, and Steve and Debbie Miller of Martinsville; one brother Austin Frank Miller of Glendale, Az.; eight grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens with Military graveside rites will be conducted by Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8 PM and on Tuesday from 10 AM till the hour of service from at the mortuary. Memorial donations may be given to Daviess County Animal Shelter.
