Janet Elizabeth Hudson
September 1, 2020 - May 4, 2020

Janet Elizabeth (Grannan) Hudson, age 77 passed away at 8:55 pm, Monday, May 4, 2020 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville with her kids by her side.


 


Janet was born August 9, 1942 in Daviess County Hospital to Matthew Omer (Pete) and Agnes Marie (Peg) (Winninger) Grannan. She attended Natrona High School in Casper, Wyo and Arthor Murrays Pro dance studio. She loved to dance. She was a Kelly Girl in Cincinnati, Ohio and a hostess at the club Gardens in Santa Anna, CA. She owned and ran Janee’s Family Restaurant in Washington for 8 yrs. She also worked at VFW before retiring. She loved baseball and horse racing and was in E-W motorcycle club in CA. Janet first married Doug Phillips and they had 3 children.


 


She is survived by two sons David Phillips of Evansville and Joe (Lynn) Phillips of Huntington Beach, Cal; daughter Kimala (Chris) Bowling of Evansville; two sisters Carolyn Anderson of Vincennes and Sharon Ochs of Montgomery; five grandchildren Michelle Dancombe, Andrea Kelly, Nicholis Kelly all of Evansville, Ryan Mascoli of CA and Maxwell Bowling of Evansville; four nephews Andy Anderson (Connie) of Vincennes, Matthew Ochs of Washington, John Hamill of CA and Stan Ochs of Montgomery; niece Karen Hamill of CA; special cousin that was just like a sister Sandy Woodky and special aunt Fredia Blackburn of Arizona.


 


Janet is preceded in death her father and mother Agnes Lamb; brother-in=laws Bud Anderson and Frank Ochs; four husbands Doug Phillips, Lynn Gregory, Lloyd May and Don Hudson; nephew Jim Ochs; niece Phyllis Anderson and babies Kyle Hamill, Reve Anderson and Kaleb Anderson.


 


We want to say a special thanks to David and Terry for taking care of our sister and mom.


 


Janet was cremated per her request. There will be no funeral services.


 


Memorials can be made to abused women shelters in Janet’s memory. All condolences can be sent to the family at www.edleemortuary.com and also to Carol and Sharon, P.O. Box 274, Montgomery, IN 47558. All arrangements were entrusted to Ed Lee Mortuary.
