Eleanor J. Wininger
July 25, 1936 - April 19, 2007

Eleanor Wininger, age 70, Washington died at 7 a.m. Thursday at her residence. Born July 25, 1936 in Daviess County she was the daughter of, John E. and Bessie Mae (Marry) McBride. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School, a homemaker, and a lifetime member of the Church of Christ in Washington. Surviving are her husband, Virgil Wininger, whom she married December 24, 1954; three sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Brenda Wininger of Loogootee, Jamie and Trudy Wininger with the U.S. Army in Germany, and Christopher and Judi Wininger of Plainville; one daughter, Kimberlee Duncan of Bedford; one brother, Bill McBride of Washington; one sister, Joyce Buckley of Washington; fourteen grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, Mary Ann, and Olivia Wininger all of Loogootee, Bryce, Mercedes, Jayce, Tiana, and Alexia Wininger all of Plainville, Thomas May of Ill, Stephen and Christopher Wininger of Ill, Eleonor Wininger of Germany, Courtney Duncan of Bedford, and one Great Grandson, Ian May of Ill. Preceding her in death is her parents and sisters, Lillian Padgett and Isabelle Stelatto George. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ with Dr. Johnny Melton and Pat Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
