Kaitlyn E. Mattes, age 16, of Washington, passed away November 13, 2017.


She was born on April 9, 2001 in Washington to Rachel Mattes.  She was a Junior at Washington High School and a member of the choir, Madrigal singers, Accents and the NJ ROTC. She was also a member of Central Christian Church and loved reading, writing and video games.


She is survived by her mother; grandfather, Larry Mattes; three brothers Dakota Mattes, Lucas Mattes and Sam Mattes; one sister, Breana Mattes; aunts and uncle, Sarah (Edward) Stuckey and Rebecca Mattes of Indianapolis; three cousins, Kennedy Stuckey, Kristen Stuckey and Nevaeh Mattes.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Central Christian Church in Washington, 10 W Van Trees St, Washington, IN 47501, with Rev John Dunn officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM– 8:00 PM on Friday at Central Christian Church.


In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Washington High School Choir or Washington High School Naval Junior ROTC, 608 E Walnut St, Washington, IN 47501
