"I only recently met Ginger at Allisonville Nursery where my dog and I go visit the residents as a therapy team a few times a month. Yesterday during our visit I learned she had passed and the nurses showed me her obituary. Only then did I learn she was from Washington, my hometown. I had the pleasure of meeting her granddaughter recently as well. I enjoyed seeing her and we will miss her bright smile."

Agnes Virginia Ginger'' Boyd, age 83 , of Fishers, passed away on Thursday June 30, 2016 at 1:50 AM at Allisonville Meadows Nursing Home in Fishers. She was born on January 22, 1933 in Washington to Harry and Sally (Lee) Strange. She was a 1951 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She had worked as a Bell Telephone operator and she retired from CSX Railroad after working there for several years. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Jay) Wise of Indianapolis and Suzanne (Joe) Benjamin of Fishers; two sons, Michael Joseph Boyd of Washington and Alan Ray Boyd of Indianapolis; one brother, Bill Strange of Washington; nine grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Boyd Jr. on August 21, 2006, whom she had Married on September 5, 1959. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara Ann Kane; three brothers, Carl Strange, Robert Strange, and Cecil Strange. Funeral Services will be AT 1:00 pm on Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary in Washington, Indiana with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
