A. Bernard Joyce age 93 of Washington passed away on Sunday at 8:54 PM at Eastgate Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Vincennes on January 25, 1914 to Mary (Catt) and Hugh Joyce. Mr. Joyce was retired from Wabash Coffee and was educated in the Vincennes Schools. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church and had been seriously ill for one month. Surviving are one son and daughter in-law, James and Jane of Florida; one grandson, Ron Joyce of Indianapolis; two granddaughters and their husbands, Julie and Marty Bennett of Washington, and Susan and Mark Moreland of Florida; one sister Betty Whalan of Vincennes; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine (Weitz) Joyce on January 11, 1992, whom he had married on March 24, 1934; and one grandson, David Joyce. A private funeral service was held on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Father Gordon Mann officiating. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Vincennes.
