June Lents, age 89 of Indianapolis, formerly of Washington, passed away at 8:46 a.m. Sunday at Northwest Manor Health Care in Indianapolis. She was born June 16, 1920 in Washington to George R. and Arilla (Gardner) Dunn. She was a 1938 graduate of Washington High School and a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, Daughters of Isabella and RSVP. Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Jimalea and Larry Turk of Washington, and Jennifer Knoll of Plainfield; three grandchildren, Lisa Redfern, Jeff Turk, and Kim Turk; three great-grandchildren, Evan, Lucas, and Taylor; and one brother, George Richard Dunn of Tilton, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Lents on April 26, 1992. She had married James on August 15, 1938. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Father Gordon Mann officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
