"Scott was one of my good friends back in the day. He was an icon at Lyon's Restaurant in San Mateo, Ca. We have many fond memories...good times with good company. Been an awful long time since I've seen him, but thank you Lord for the recent connection we had before his passing."

"Now who is going to tell mom everything I don't want her to know? Who is going to look at my eye after the shots and make jokes about what it looks like I've been doing? Who do I get to fish with now who WILL forget I'm with them? I know you were tired and tried to be strong, to hold on, but we talked a lot the last few months and it helped prepare me for what would happen... I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was though. I will do what you asked me to do and you can pull my toes if I start to slack off. Tell my grandma thank you for the visits and I now expect the same from you even if you do "let me live this time!"
