"I wanted very much to be at the funeral mass on Friday, but I have been fighting a respiratory infection all week and I am not able to be there. I have many fond memories of Connie. She was always friendly and helpful to all of the new lawyers in town. She was particularly helpful to me when I came back to Vincennes in 1986 to practice law. Connie was a great listener. She was always supportive and encouraging. She was the Court Reporter when I did my first criminal jury trial. She was present when I was sworn in as a new judge in 1996. She helped me plan Judge Murphey Land's retirement party. She was always a great friend to me. My sincere condolences to Linda, Lisa and the other members of Connie's family. Tim Crowley"

"Dear Don, Linda, Lisa, LaDonna & Nancy: It is with great sorrow that we learned of Connie's passing. We can share memories with just about all of you, but especially of Connie. Having worked with almost the entire family while in my law practice I enjoyed the good friendship and above all assistance, Circuit court was a very friendly venue for lawyers with the Haag girls in supervision and we all have fond memories when LaDonna worked in my office; I can thank Connie for this most pleasant introduction. Jerilyn and I will miss Connie, but will always remember fondly her smile and good welcome. We sorry for not being able to attend Connie's service and visitation, as we will be out of state. God bless you all! Dave & Jerilyn Miller"
