Mary 'Eva' Cone age 88, of Washington formerly of North Vernon, passed away on Sunday at 12:44 PM at Eastgate Manor Nursing Home. She was born on September 9, 1920 in Daviess County to Bernard and Zita ( McGrath) Carrico. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and had worked for at Shoe Mart.. She is survived by two sons and daughter in-law, Ronald Joseph and Vera Cone of Seymour and James Kenneth Cone of Pensacola, Florida; five Grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Wilma Butcher and Virginia Roberson both of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Cone on August 18, 2003 whom she had married on December 29, 1938. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
