Edward Raymond Ennis
September 14, 1941 - April 28, 2011

Edward Raymond Ennis, age 69, of Washington passed away on Thursday at The Legends of Washington. He was born September 14, 1941 in Washington to Charles and Mary Catherine (O'Brian) Ennis. He was a US Army Veteran and was retired from Jefferson Trucking in Shoals. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Washington Knights of Columbus, Washington Eagles, Washington Moose Lodge, Washington Conservation Club, and Teamsters Local 135. He had been a life member of the Washington VFW, American Legion and Washington Saddle Club. He is survived by three daughters, Michelle (Pat) Wade, Deb(Aaron) Rhoads, and Diana (Dennis) Jenne all of Washington; one son, Randy(Cassie )Ennis of Washington; his mother, Mary Catherine Ennis of Washington, ten grandchildren, Olivia Wade, Caleb Wade, Fletcher Rhoads, Chandler Rhoads, Cooper Rhoads, Eli Jenne, Alex Jenne, Shane Jenne, D.J. Jenne, and Alton Ennis one sister, Carolyn Sue (Gerry) Cornelius of Indianapolis; one brother Donnie Ennis of Washington; and the mother of his children, Ann Ennis of Washington. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ennis. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday with a wake service at 4 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to www.edleemortuary.com.
