Dorothy L. Osmon, 99, of Plainville, passed away at 12:30 PM on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Hillside Manor. Dorothy was the daughter of William and Sarah (Hattery) Clark. She was born in Bogart Township on June 7th, 1914. She married Kermit Osmon in 1933 and raised her family in Plainville. Dorothy was preceded in death by Kermit, second husband Dick Baker, daughter Sheila Akins, sisters Hazel Bruce and Edith Osmon, step-brothers Seth Williams, George Williams and Densil. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Carolyn Osmon of Plainville, grand children Brad Osmon, Madolyn (Osmon) Bryant, Shannon Edwards, Dennis Breeden, Jeffrey Breeden, Colleen Clidienst and William Breeden. Also surviving are 13 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Dorothy loved her children and grandchildren and visiting her home was always special. She loved entertaining family as well as friends and was especially fond of a good game of cards. She touched many lives in the past 99 years and will be missed by all. Funeral Services 2:00 PM Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Bro. Richard Smith and Pastor Chris Coney officiating. Burial will follow in Plainville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
