Fay C. Thompson age 73 of Washington passed away on Friday at 9:45 AM at Washington Nursing Center. He was born on February 10, 1935 in Washington to Bruce Cameron and Julia (McFarland) Thompson. He graduated from Washington High School, and was a member of the Trinity Gospel Church and Bass Masters Fishing Association. He is survived by his Wife, Connie (Grannan) Thompson whom he married on February 23, 1957; three daughters and sons in-law, Debra Faye and John Wehrle of Jasper, Cheryl Renee and Keith Davis of Washington, and Teresa Joann and Wayne Mize of Modesto, California; two sons and daughter in-law, Jimmy Dean and Trudy Thompson of Dixon, Tennessee and Duane Cameron Thompson of Big Piney, Wyoming; two sisters, Marcella Baker of Bakersfield, California and Frieda Traylor of Washington; three brothers, Rev. Robert Thompson of Columbus, Brayton Thompson of Edinburgh, and James Thompson of Vincennes; eight grandchildren; and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wanda Veale. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Johnathan Meenach officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
