Betty Burton, 86, of Washington, passed away October 1, 2018, at Daviess Community Hospital.
She was born in Washington, Indiana on February 16, 1932, to Paul Jr. and Viola (Tesort) Moffett
Betty works as a cook for many Restaurants and at the Daviess County Security Center. She also loved cooking for her family.
She is survived by three sons, Carl D. Burton Jr., Terry (Dottie) Burton, and Tony (Tammy) Burton all of Washington; three daughters, Connie(John) Schutter and Barbara Gilmore both of Washington and Vonda (Randy) Miller of Bicknell; three sisters, Shirley Chandley of Washington, Needie Tomson and Jane Hayes both of Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Burton, Sr. on February 13, 2001, whom she married, May 7, 1950; daughter, Sonda Shake; two sisters, Lois Moffitt and Anna Williams; and four, Brothers, Bill Moffett, Bobby Moffett, Paul Moffett Jr. and Steve Moffett.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel 620 East Viola Avenue. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM– 1:00 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel 620 East Viola Avenue.
